Frequently asked questions
Which candles are needed for these candle holders?
It depends on the model: candlesticks are designed for taper candles, while tealight holders are made for standard 4-centimetre tealights. The product description for each piece specifies this; if in doubt, write to us - we have the pieces in store and can measure them.
Can they be used outdoors?
Some do, as indicated in the product description: these are the models with a dome, which protects the flame from the wind. They should still be brought indoors when it rains, not because of the glass but because of the base, which is made of copper or wood on some pieces.
Does the glass blacken from the flame?
This can happen if the wick is too long or the candle is low quality. Remove it with lukewarm water and mild soap. Trimming the wick to half a centimetre before lighting it solves the problem at the root.
Are they suitable as gifts?
