Gift ideas for her
Gift guide · For her
The problem for gift-givers is almost never the budget: it is not knowing the size. That is why, faced with a beautiful sweater, they end up buying yet another candle, and why the best gift is often the one that has no size at all.
This page brings together what we recommend every day in our boutique to anyone who arrives saying, «I need to buy a gift and I don't know what.» These are objects chosen by looking at the person, not the label showing the price.
Under 50 euros
This is the price range for a thoughtful gift, and the hardest to get right because the risk of choosing something predictable is high. At our boutique, keyrings work well - they may seem like a fallback, but they are the only gift someone uses every single day - as do hats, which are almost always one size.
If they love fragrance, under 50 euros you can find smaller sizes and soaps: it is the most honest way to introduce someone to a fragrance house without committing one hundred euros to a scent they might not like.
Between 50 and 100 euros
This is where everything opens up. Scarves and stoles are the gift that never misses the mark - they transform a coat, require no sizing, and their quality can be felt even by someone who knows nothing about fashion. Belts work well if you know their trouser size, and that is the only pitfall in this price range.
Wallets and cardholders are the practical choice: they are rarely replaced, used every day, and anyone who receives a beautiful one stops buying one for themselves. This price range also includes the first niche fragrances.
The boutique's recommendation. If you don't know their tastes, look at what they already have and buy the best version of it. Someone who always wears the same felted scarf doesn't want a fragrance: they want that scarf, in cashmere. It is the gift that makes the strongest impression and the one least likely to miss the mark.
Between 100 and 200 euros
This is the price range where niche fragrance becomes the most distinctive gift you can give, and it is also where our selection is deepest: most of the fragrances we carry fall here. A niche fragrance resembles nothing you find in a commercial perfumery, and the person who receives it notices from the first spray.
There is one rule, though, and it is worth following: do not give a perfume you like yourself. Look for the olfactory family of a fragrance you have seen her wear — if she likes something sweet, look at gourmand fragrances; if she wears something clean and discreet, white musks; if she likes real flowers without sweetness, niche floral fragrances are a different proposition from commercial ones.
If you want to understand how it works before choosing, we have written how to read an olfactory pyramid: it takes five minutes and changes the way you buy a fragrance.
For the home, when size is not a factor
It is the answer to the question we hear most often at the counter: what can you give without knowing the size. Glassware has no sizes, no season and does not force the recipient to decide whether it suits them. Since September, we have carried NUDE, hand-blown lead-free crystal: 250 pieces from 19 to 540 euros.
For a gift they can use right away: crystal cocktail glasses, from 18 to 102 euros, which come in sets of two — the right size for a couple. For a new home: glasses and wine glasses, or a carafe for water on the table, the piece that comes out every day. For an important gift: hand-blown vases, where every piece is different because the shape is created by breath, not a mould.
The rule that leads to the fewest mistakes at the counter applies here too: give a piece that improves on something the person already uses every day. Someone who drinks wine in the evening from an ordinary glass does not want a new object to find a place for: they want that wine glass made properly.
What we are reluctant to give
It is worth saying, because it is the part other shops leave out. Clothing without knowing the size is the gift most often returned: even if you guess the number correctly, the fit varies from brand to brand. Shoes even more so, because feet are unforgiving.
If the gift has to be a garment, the solution is to ask in advance or choose something deliberately loose-fitting — an oversized sweater, a soft outerwear piece. Or, much more simply, choose an accessory instead.
How we wrap it
Every order can be wrapped in the boutique packaging, with a card added. If the gift still doesn’t work out, returns are free within 30 days — and with a gift, that matters more than the packaging.
If you are looking for something for a man, the companion guide is gift ideas for him. Around Christmas, we also have a seasonal selection: Christmas gifts for her.
Frequently asked questions
What can you give a woman without knowing her size?
Anything without a size: perfumes, scarves and stoles, hats, wallets and card holders, key rings, jewellery. They are also items used every day, which makes them the gifts people remember. Clothing and shoes are the choices most often returned.
What is a good gift under 50 euros?
A leather key ring or a hat: they may seem like fallback options, but they are the two things a person uses every day. If they love perfume, this price range includes small sizes and soaps from niche houses, an honest way to introduce them to a maison without spending a hundred euros blindly.
How do you choose a perfume as a gift?
Start with the fragrance family of a perfume you have seen her use, not one you like: the same fragrance on different skin is not the same fragrance. If you have no such reference, a fragrance with a musk or light woods base is the choice least likely to divide opinion.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, on request when placing the order, with the boutique packaging and the option to add a card. And if the gift doesn’t work out, returns are free within 30 days.
Is a useful gift better than a beautiful one?
The gift that works is the one that upgrades something the person already uses. Someone who always wears the same worn-out scarf doesn’t want a new object to find space for: they want that scarf, made well. It’s the rule that least often goes wrong at the counter.
