Vittorio Citro's designer menswear is the selection of a multibrand boutique that buys from authorised retailers: Shirts, Knitwear, outerwear, denim and tailoring from over fifty brands, from Italian suit makers to sportswear names. It is not a catalogue: it is what we select season after season and keep in our store in Roccapiemonte, since 1917.

The brands, grouped by what they do best

A brand is chosen for the garments it excels at, not for its name in general. This is how we look at them.

Tailoring and suits

Our most Italian department, and where you see the difference between a designer suit and just a suit.

  • Lardini — unstructured jackets and softly tailored suits
  • MANUEL RITZ — suits and jackets with a streamlined silhouette
  • PAOLONI — contemporary tailoring, natural shoulders
  • BHARNABA — occasion suits, including less common drops
  • HAVANA & CO — jackets and suits with a more relaxed character

Outerwear and down jackets

The category that truly tests a brand, because the wrong coat is noticeable from the first winter.

  • Peuterey — down jackets and parkas, our best-selling outerwear
  • Colmar — lightweight technical down jackets
  • People Of Shibuya — waterproofs and technical jackets with an urban cut
  • Woolrich — classic American outerwear

Denim and trousers

Here, the choice is almost entirely about fit: the same jeans, three brands, three different silhouettes.

  • Michael Coal — denim and trousers with a considered fit
  • LEVI'S — the benchmark in denim, from the 501 onwards
  • Dondup — jeans with a distinctive cut
  • Pt Torino — sartorially cut trousers
  • JEORDIE'S — chinos and slim-fit trousers
  • RE-HASH — Italian chinos in heavyweight fabrics

Polo shirts, t-shirts and knitwear

This is the department with the greatest depth in menswear, and the one where it pays to check the composition before the logo.

  • LACOSTE — polo shirts, starting with the L.12.12
  • Mc2 Saint Barth — knitwear and embroidered garments, often in cashmere blends
  • Roberto Collina — Italian knitwear in fine yarns
  • GI CAPRI — linen and Riviera-ready pieces

Shirts

They are chosen by the collar, not the size: from 38 to 45.

  • ingram — stretch technical-fabric shirts, easy iron
  • Bugatti — classic and button-down shirts
  • Tela Genova — shirts in more textured fabrics

Sportswear and outdoor

The department's most relaxed character, which plays a bigger role in everyday wardrobes than people admit.

  • Adidas Originals — sweatshirts, tracksuits and archive pieces
  • Kappa — the logo that made its return
  • Fila — sweatshirts and nineties pieces
  • TIMBERLAND — outdoor pieces and urban outerwear

Design and contemporary style

The brands we choose piece by piece, where depth matters less than finding the right item.

  • Alessandro Dell'Acqua — pieces with a more experimental cut
  • BE ABLE — denim and hand-finished pieces
  • WHITE SAND — trousers and pieces in rich colours
  • Simbols — knitwear and essential pieces

How to choose (and find the right size)

Our advice, from those who have customers try on the garments in store: build in layers. A good shirt and chinos work for the office; polo shirts and jeans for free time; a heavyweight sweatshirt and outerwear for the weekend. When it comes to sizing, each category has its own system: shirts are sized by the collar, from 38 to 45; knitwear, polo shirts and sweatshirts by standard size; for a suit, the drop matters, meaning the difference between the jacket and trousers. Equivalences between brands are available in the size converter.

Frequently asked questions

Which menswear brands can I find at Vittorio Citro?

At the moment, the menswear department includes over fifty brands, from Italian tailoring (Lardini, Manuel Ritz, Paoloni) to outerwear (Peuterey, Colmar, Woolrich), from denim (Levi's, Dondup, Michael Coal, PT Torino) to sportswear (Adidas Originals, Kappa, Fila). You can find the complete list by group above, with a link to each brand's page.

What is the difference between designer clothing and luxury clothing?

In common usage, the terms overlap, but they are not the same thing. Designer means clothing from a recognisable brand; luxury refers to the level of craftsmanship, the materials and where the garment is made. Our menswear department brings both together: alongside well-known brands, there are Italian tailoring houses that not everyone knows and that offer more in the garment than the name alone.

Are the garments authentic?

Yes. We are authorised retailers of the brands we stock and buy directly from the brands or their official distributors. The authenticity of every garment is guaranteed, and in the boutique each piece physically passes through our hands before being listed online.

How do I choose the right size?

It depends on the category. Shirts follow collar measurements, from 38 to 45. Polo shirts, knitwear and sweatshirts are sized from S to XXL. Trousers and jeans use Italian or European waist sizing, while for a suit the drop matters, meaning the difference between the jacket and trousers. Each product page indicates the fit; if in doubt, write to us - we have the garment here.

How much does shipping cost and how do returns work?

Shipping is free in Italy from €149 and in Europe from €299. Returns are free within 30 days: the garment must be returned intact with the tags attached.

Can I also shop in store?

Yes. The boutique is in Roccapiemonte, in the province of Salerno, a few kilometres from the Amalfi Coast, and the family has been selling fashion from the same location since 1917. What you see online is the same selection you will find in store.

When it comes to footwear, Barrett shoes deserve a special mention: handcrafted and made in Parma since 1917, the same year as the boutique.

For truly cold weather, wool and cashmere-blend hats, for men and women.

For a relaxed fit, we have a dedicated page: baggy, loose and wide-leg jeans, with the difference between the four fits.

For outerwear — coats, down jackets, parkas or bombers — there is a dedicated guide: how to choose it by reading the insulation and membrane.

For white, we have a dedicated page: women's and men's white shirts, with the difference between optical white, cream and off-white.

For New Era styles, we explain the difference between 9FORTY, 9FIFTY and 59FIFTY — whether or not the cap is adjustable — on the dedicated page.

For backpacks and laptop bags — 14 or 15.6 inches, RFID, power-bank pocket — see our selection of men's work bags.
