The UGG Classic Ultra Mini is the short version of the boot that made the brand famous: it stops at the ankle, slips on in a second and sits under trousers without adding bulk. It is the best-selling model in the Classic line, and there's a reason.

Ultra Mini, Mini or Classic

  • Ultra Mini - ankle height: the shortest and easiest to wear under trousers.
  • Classic Mini - a couple of centimetres taller: it fully covers the ankle.
  • Ultra Mini Platform - the same ankle boot on a raised sole, for anyone who wants a few extra centimetres.

What size to choose

Like the rest of the shearling line, the Ultra Mini fits roomy and gives by about half a size: choose a snug fit, not a comfortable one. Thick socks are a common mistake - shearling provides warmth on its own and fills the space. See the complete chart in the UGG size guide.

The rest of the selection

Next to it, you'll find women's UGGs, UGG slippers, Lowmel sneakers and the full UGG selection. For how to wear them this winter, see the UGG model guide.

Frequently asked questions

Ultra Mini or Classic Mini: which should you choose?

The Ultra Mini stops at the ankle and is the most versatile, because it fits under trousers without adding bulk. The Classic Mini is a few centimetres taller and fully covers the ankle: it is slightly warmer and more visible. With this season's wide-leg jeans, the Ultra Mini is the best choice.

What size should you get for the UGG Ultra Mini?

Snug, not comfortable. Shearling boots fit roomy inside and give by about half a size with wear, so your foot should fill them out at first. Between two sizes, choose the smaller one, and there is no need for thick socks: shearling provides warmth on its own and would fill the space twice over.

Can they be worn in the rain?

Light rain is fine, but suede should be protected with a waterproofing spray before first use and then from time to time. It is best to avoid standing water and wet snow: shearling absorbs moisture, and drying it near a radiator hardens the leather.

How do you remove stains?

Dry, with a suede brush, and in the direction of the nap. For water stains, lightly dampen the entire surface evenly and let it dry away from heat, otherwise a ring will remain. For everything else, there is a dedicated cleaning kit for shearling.
